The Council is looking to award a Contract the supply of high efficiency LED luminaires to be used to replace existing luminaires in several of its properties. The materials to be delivered under this contract are to facilitate improvement works to be carried out by Blackburn with Darwen in-house operations teams. The objectives are to reduce energy consumption, improve energy efficiency and cut emissions of carbon dioxide from Council business to contribute towards the objective of being carbon neutral by 2030

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Replacement of fluorescent lighting with LEDs to reduce consumption of grid electricity, in all locations within the building in question where it makes financial sense to do so. Fittings will be replaced at the same time to reduce future maintenance costs.

The Council is using the e-business portal known as the Chest. Applicants will need to register their details at the following link www.the-chest.org.uk. . The highest scoring Tenderer shall be awarded the contract to supply the luminaires specified
