Brighton and Hove City Council is seeking to commission a service that delivers a Cancer Awareness and Early Diagnosis Service to help improve cancer outcomes in the Brighton and Hove city area.The purpose of the service is to increase early diagnosis by:• Increasing awareness, knowledge and confidence about the signs and symptoms of cancer.• Increasing awareness of, and number of people attending NHS Cancer Screening Programmes.• Working with other organisations in the city to raise knowledge and awareness of cancer.• Targeting engagement in deprived communities and tailoring communications to specific audiences.• Incorporate the use of digitally enabled care to help patients and their carers manage their health. A number of organisations have been commissioned to provide cancer prevention services and local awareness campaigns in the city, and the successful bidder will need to build on this work.
