A Holiday Activities and Food programme during summer and winter 2021 to provide nutritious meals and enriching activities for Southwark children aged 5 to 16 and who are eligible for benefits-related Free School Meals.

The programme’s objectives are to encourage eligible children to:

 Eat more healthily

 Be more active

 Take part in engaging and enriching activities

 Be safe and not isolated

 Have greater knowledge of health and nutrition

 Be more engaged with school and other services

 Have greater knowledge and awareness of holiday club provision

In order to meet standards set by Department for Education (the funding body) holiday programme hubs must provide at least one meal a day (breakfast, lunch or dinner) and all food provided at the club (including snacks) must meet school food standards.
