two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Expressions of interest are invited for the provision of the the following:

Denbighshire CC is seeking to purchase a quantity of around 45,000 mobile recycling receptacles to support the source-separated collection of dry recyclable materials, i.e. glass packaging, paper and card, beverage cartons/bricks, plastic bottles, plastic pots, tubs & trays, steel and aluminium cans, aluminium foil.

The receptacle is expected to be on wheels or castors in order to be easily moved and returned from the specified collection point by residents.

Each receptacle should have a minimum of three different sections or compartments, each capable of being emptied independently while allowing the contents to be sorted if necessary.

The recycling receptacle should, as a complete unit, offer a minimum total capacity of 160 litres.

The receptacle is required to be supplied finished in black (or very close equivalent).

Preference will be given to products constructed using recycled post-consumer materials.

Each separate section or compartment should be capable of being colour co-ordinated by the fitting of lids, flaps or similar of different colours.

Each separate section or compartment should be capable of being embossed or hot-foiled stamp with the Council’s logo and up to 200 characters of text.
