The Capital Works Framework is a structured approach for managing and delivering construction projects. It is designed to streamline the process and ensure efficient project execution.
The framework focuses on delivering capital works across the Cumberland Council's diverse portfolio.
The contract period will be for an initial 2-year period, with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
The works have been divided into two work packages - Building and Civil works.

Engagement process description
Background information:
The Capital Works Framework is a structured approach for managing and delivering construction projects. It is designed to streamline the process and ensure efficient project execution.
The framework focuses on delivering capital works across the Cumberland Council's diverse portfolio.
About the proposed Capital Works Framework:
The contract period will be for an initial 2-year period, with the option to extend for a further 2 years.
The works have been divided into two work packages - Building and Civil works.
Projects will be let on an individual basis throughout the duration of the framework.
Supplier engagement:
Participants from the previous framework have been invited to share feedback on what was effective and areas that could be improved as part of a lessons learned exercise.
An invitation is now open to all contractors who are interested in tendering, with experience in the work packages, to attend a supplier engagement event:

• Framework Overview: Understand the structure and purpose.
• Procurement Process Explanation: How the framework and future individual projects will be awarded and managed.
• Opportunity to ask questions, engage in discussions and seek clarification.
