The Council is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Hounslow residents by helping reduce fuel costs and improving the energy efficiency of housing. Evidence suggests that cold homes caused by poor thermal efficiency and fuel poverty have negative impacts on health, particularly on older people and those with pre-existing medical conditions.

To help achieve this aim Hounslow Council wishes to provide extra support to vulnerable households through an energy efficiency and seasonal health programme to improve the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of homes within the borough of Hounslow, whilst also tackling fuel poverty and reducing long-term health conditions associated with homes experience comfortable temperatures as well as other issues like damp and mould, as well as personalised travel planning to reduce resident travel emissions and save money on fuel where possible
