The Contract is to provide WPD with delivery and collection services for Reclaimed Insulating Oil (RIO) and Used Insulating Oil (UIO), as specified in Engineering Specification 205, across all 4 company areas in the East and West Midlands, South West and South Wales. These services are required to maintain WPD's network of electrical distribution equipment and remain compliant with the following environmental and sustainability criteria:

• Maintaining WPD's waste management Duty of Care compliance through provision of accurate, complete and timely waste management information.

• Maintaining WPD's compliance with permitting requirements through timely used oil collections to avoid build up of used oil volumes and infringement of permit limits.

• Ensuring adequate provisions for avoidance of spillages.

• Ensuring maximum percentage of used oil is reclaimed and put back into the market place to minimise the use of virgin resources.

• Achieving legal compliance with regulatory permitting and waste management processes.

• Use of recyclable materials.
