The MaaS Solution provides the opportunity to deliver a single platform for the

West of England area, providing a simplified offer to customers with the ability to

access the best fares and remove barriers to use of public transport, and support

the delivery of our BSIP and the vision and aims of the National Bus Strategy.

The vision for the West of England CA MaaS project is: The West of England CA's

MaaS Solution should collaboratively deliver a regional multi-modal journey

planning, booking, ticketing, payment and information solution.

We recognise that MaaS (as a solution) can be interpreted in many different ways,

technically, operationally and crucially from a customer point of view. For the

purposes of this specification and development, deployment and refinement of

MaaS in the West of England, we define it as “a platform that, together with

associated stakeholder and management services, allows residents and

visitors to the West of England to plan, book and pay for single mode and

multi-modal journeys across the region, with a simple and personalised

interface, based on their specific preferences, needs and behaviours, but also using techniques to encourage the use of low carbon and more

sustainable travel modes where practicable”

Please note this project is being procured under the Restricted Procedure pursuant to the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Bidders are advised that a tender shall only be considered when all requirements of the tender documentation are completed and returned and:

• it has met all of the eligibility and mandatory requirements

• the SSQ is submitted to the Combined Authority using The Portal no later than 12:00 midday on 13/05/2022

• the tender is submitted to the Combined Authority using The Portal no later than 12:00 midday on 20/07/2022

Please note it is our intention to invite a maximum of 5 providers to tender
