The UK Army requires a sighting system that can be used on both the L111A1 Heavy Machine Gun (HMG) and L134A1 Grenade Machine Gun (GMG) to enable Users to engage targets out to the full range of the weapons in all light conditions. This Capability will be brought into service through the Support Weapons Enhanced Sighting System (SWESS) Heavy-Mature Project.

This Capability will be brought into service through the Support Weapons Enhanced Sighting System (SWESS) Heavy-Mature Project

The initial quantity to be procured will be approximately 15 but is subject to change and could increase up to the total fleet quantity of approx 2,000 Systems. This quantity is subject to future budget approval
