Need for modification brought about by circumstances which a diligent contracting authority/entity could not foresee.
Description of the circumstances which rendered the modification necessary and explanation of the unforeseen nature of these circumstances:
The Agency carried out a new procurement activity commencing late 2022 with
the intention of awarding the new contract in October 2023. However due to
unforeseen circumstances the procurement has been abandoned.
Continuing with the same supplier until a new contract awarded is the lowest
risk option for continuity of the Agency’s business as short timescales are
required.
