two.1.4) Short description

Adoption East Midlands (AEM), is a Regional Adoption Agency hosted by Nottinghamshire County Council, delivering adoption services for 4 Local Authorities - Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and Nottingham City Council.

Nottinghamshire County Council (the Council) on behalf AEM is seeking to establish a process to contract with organisations (Providers) able to provide Therapeutic Services, (Framework).

In addition, each individual LA’s within the AEM region, assumes responsibility for supporting children and families where a Special Guardianship Order is in place, therefore providers who join the Therapeutic Services Framework will also deliver the appropriate interventions to ensure positive outcomes for these families.

Details of Services that will be purchased under the Framework by AEM as set out in the service specification. The Framework will remain open for new tenders for the duration of its operation.

Bidders may tender for one or more of the following Lots;

• Lot 1: Play Therapies

• Lot 2: Creative Therapies

• Lot 3: Therapeutic/Attachment Focused Parenting Support & Programmes

• Lot 4: Therapeutic Life Story work

• Lot 5: Psychotherapy

• Lot 6: Sensory Integration Processing Therapy

• Lot 7: Group Programmes

• Lot 8: Specialist Assessments

This will be established with an initial duration of initial four-years, with option to extend for a further two one-year extensions, to a maximum of six years.

2.4.1. Including but not exclusive to Theraplay, Filial Therapy and PCAP (Parent-Child Attachment Play)

2.4.3. In respect to Theraplay, providers and their therapists will be either fully qualified (completed level 2 and the practicum) or have completed level 1 plus 8 supervised sessions and be operating under clinical supervision

2.4.4. Providers and their therapists will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title

2.4.5. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention.

2.4.6. The service may be required to be delivered in a number of settings including Provider’s premises, the family home child/children’s’ school, virtually where appropriate. Feedback will be required in the form of review meetings and reports.

2.8.2. All providers and their therapists will hold the relevant qualifications to practice and will be registered in their particular discipline with their professional regulatory body, if using a protected title

2.8.3. In relation to Psychotherapy providers will be registered with UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) or the British Psychoanalytical Council (BPC)

2.8.4. In relation to DDP providers and their therapists will be qualified in DDP to at least Level 2 and receive clinical supervision and to have completed or be working towards the Practicum.

2.8.5. In relation to CBT providers and their therapists must be qualified to level 2 with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies

2.8.6. Providers will provide any resources or equipment required for the service and to support successful delivery of the intervention.

2.8.7. The service may be required to be delivered in a variety of settings.

2.8.8. Feedback will be required in the form of outcome measures and a report
