The Natural History Museum wishes to procure a Principal Contractor for the construction programme of works required to complete the full restoration of the facades of the Grade 1 Listed Waterhouse Building in South Kensington, London.

The first restoration phase is programmed to commence in FY 2023/24 and complete on 31/03/2025, with further restoration phases continuing beyond 2025 subject to availability of funds.

Description of renewals

The Museum’s intention is to appoint the selected contractor up to 31st March 2025. If additional funding becomes available and the first phase of works has been brought to a satisfactory completion, the KPIs have been met and an agreement is reached on the additional costs for the completion of the remaining phases, the Museum reserves the right to extend the contract for an additional 2 to 3 years.
