Test Valley Borough Council (TVBC) is seeking to work with an ambitious consultant or consortium of consultants to prepare the design and subsequent delivery of a multi-purpose theatre in the heart of Andover. Following the exciting news of being awarded £18.3M of Levelling Up Fund the Council is able to move from aspiration to delivery. The new venue will replace the existing theatre within a central location of a historic and growing market town. The scheme will include the creation of new public realm and the redevelopment of the entrance of the towns shopping centre. The theatre will transform and revitalise the space, introducing an evening economy, offering more cultural activities and events, and supporting businesses in the town. The Council has a strong background of collaborative working with key partners which saw the town centre masterplan receive the contribution of more than 4,000 residents, businesses and stakeholders.
