Swansea Council are aiming to procure high-quality, part-time, funded, Flying Start Childcare Expansion places with local CIW registered childcare providers. This is to provide childcare for all eligible 2–3-year-olds, for 2 ½ hours a day, for a maximum of 5 days a week, for a maximum of 39 weeks, in line with school terms. Childcare providers will be placed on a framework, where parents will be able to choose a childcare provider. Therefore there is no guarantee of the take up of childcare places.
The publication of this notice does not signify the beginning of any formal procurement process and does not constitute a commitment by the Council to undertake any future procurement process.
The Council may withdraw or amend any information contained in this notice at any time and without notice

All suppliers that pass all the minimum thresholds set out in the Supplier Suitability Questionnaire will be appointed on to the framework. It is expected that the Framework Contractors within Lots 1 & 2 will be allocated work during the framework period, however the Council makes no guarantee of work.

Event 1 - Wednesday 29th March 2023, 10.00 - 11.30
This event will be delivered virtually via Microsoft Teams and we recommend that you join via a laptop/desktop so that it will be easier for you to type and use chat functionality.
Event 2 - Wednesday 29th March 2023 arrival from 18.00, meeting starts 18.30 - 20.00
An in-person event will be held at George Hall, Guildhall, Swansea, SA1 4PE
Please note you will not be required to attend both events as Swansea Council will be covering the same items during both sessions.
The purpose of this event will be:
To provide more information about our commissioning model
To Provide a timeframe and the next steps.
Business Wales will attend both the events and provide information on how they can support potential suppliers who wish to be added to the Framework. They can provide support and guidance on all aspects of the tendering process and can look at creating support packages to the potential suppliers E.g. Getting tender ready (registering on Sell2Wales and using eTenderWales). Live tender session or 1-2-1 appointments and much more.
The tender opportunity will be published on eTenderWales in the coming weeks, the tender documents are not currently available on eTenderWales. The Market Engagement Events are to provide information to all potential bidders prior to the tender opportunity being published on eTenderWales.
