two.1.4) Short description
NPAS needs to have Jet Fuel (to the DEFSTAN 91-091 standards/specification for Jet Fuel) delivered to seven bases/locations.
Demand is driven by operational need, as NPAS do not operate flights on a purely scheduled basis. Therefore any contract awarded under this tender process will carry no minimum volume guarantee or assurance.
The technical questionnaire references SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and AvGas. The existing NPAS fleet cannot accommodate SAF. NPAS is currently tendering for new rotary aircraft, but any changes to the fleet is unlikely to take place within the next two years.
There is a slight possibility that AvGas may be required for it’s fixed wing fleet. However, this is not definite at the point of launching this tender.
