This PIN is purely for market research and engagement purposes. The University is testing the market on behalf of the Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry within the University, for a potential upcoming requirement of a large scale oligonucleotide synthesis and purification platform.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The Department of Pure & Applied Chemistry at the University of Strathclyde, are looking to understand if the market can provide large scale oligonucleotide synthesis equipment.

The equipment is requried to provide the following:

- The offered solution can provide automated large scale oligonucleotide synthesis

- The offered solution will provide capability for downstream purification

- The offered solution provides capability for multiple amidite bottles to support synthesis

- Can accommodate oligonucleotide synthesis on a variety of scales (1 mmol and above)

- Can provide a computer control and software system that drives the automated synthesiser

- The offered solution must be capable of inerting all reagent bottles

- The offered system must have the ability to provide UV and conductivity monitoring in the synthesis platform

- The offered system must be able to support a range of columns in the synthesis platform

- The offered solution for downstream chromatography must have automated fraction collection and control software

- The offered solution for downstream chromatography must have UV monitoring using at least two wavelengths

- The offered solution for downstream chromatography must be capable of providing a flow rate of up to 150 mL/min

- The offered solution for both synthesis and purification must include at least 24 months warranty, including 1 planned maintenance visit

- Full training must be provided by the supplier on the platform supplied
