Scope

Description

The Contract is to cover approximately one hundred and sixty Cumberland Council managed properties. In addition to the Council properties the School Estate and Lake District National Park Authority have the option to buy into the contract and should be accommodated at the agreed rates/prices presented within the tender.

Corporate properties (Sites) in Cumbria, include but not limited to;

• Residential Care homes and Day Care Centres

• Office sites

• Library and Registration Services

• Children's Centres

The works shall comprise, but not be limited to, the recording of water temperatures, recording of the condition of cold-water storage tanks and hot water calorifiers, water sampling and testing, and correct operation of thermostatic mixing valves together with corrective measures required whilst carrying out the aforementioned.

£1,250,000 over the total contract period which is a period of 5 year with a possible extension of upto 2 years

competition; and in no circumstances will the Contracting Authority be liable for any costs incurred by the candidates. Any expenditure, work or effort undertaken prior to contract

award is accordingly a matter solely for the commercial judgement of potential suppliers.

The contracting authority reserve the right to use any electronic portal during the life of the agreement.

The value provided in this notice is only an estimate.

The initial contract term is for 5 Years, with 1 optional extension of up to 2 years.
