** This is not a tender exercise by the Education Authority - This is to advertise some Market Information Sessions*** The Education Authority (EA) is responsible for ensuring high-quality education services are available to meet the needs of pupils and for ensuring the provision of efficient and effective youth services. The EA has established a Programme of Work (Education Technology Services - ETS) to support delivery of both EA’s and the Department of Education's (DE) corporate objectives. ETS will focus on aligning current services, where synergies can be achieved, and providing a digital platform to support areas of defined need. ETS will continue to deliver replacement services, such as those underpinned by the Education Network Northern Ireland - EN(ni) contract – for the acquisition and ongoing provision of the necessary technology infrastructure; curriculum content; management information services; and other technology related services to schools - but also the other wide-ranging information systems that EA provides including (but not limited to) the Education Management System (EMS); admissions; Special Educational Need (SEN); school transport; school meals; music service; community use of schools; and substitute teachers register. Previous market sounding events were undertaken in Belfast in 2019 and these forthcoming information sessions are designed to update the market on decisions and activities undertaken since then (in regard to the agreed procurement route, timescales and changes to the requirements).
