two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Milton Keynes Council wishes to develop the range and number of supported living opportunities for adults aged 18 years and over, from the following client groups: • Learning Disability, • Autism Spectrum Disorder • Dual Learning Disability & Mental Health • Dual Learning Disability & Autism • Older People • Mental Health • Sensory Impairment • Physical Disability • Acquired Brain Injury Supported Living is a core element of The Council’s social care provision. The Service is required to meet the needs and wishes of Milton Keynes residents assessed as eligible for these services and who require a range of support to maintain their independence in the community. The support commissioned will be based on assessed need and will potentially be different for each individual. The Council wishes to work with Providers who can demonstrate and deliver a progressive model of Supported Living which achieves and maintains value for money, and which can meet the outcomes and support needs of our service users and promote independence. All Supported Living Services will be procured via an Open Framework. Providers must be enrolled onto the framework in order to receive any referrals and deliver Supported Living packages to clients with assessed needs. The framework will be opened to new providers yearly, on the anniversary of the date of the start of the contract.
