NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands Commissioning Support Unit (AGCSU), on behalf of the NHS England/Improvement – Regional Specialised Commissioning Team (Midlands) (here onwards known as the commissioner) would like to notify all potential providers about the upcoming opportunity to bid for Specialised Critical Care Ambulance Transfer Services in the East Midlands and Adult Critical Care Ambulance Transfers Services in the West Midlands .

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Specialised Critical Care Ambulance Transfer Services in the East Midlands and Adult Critical Care Ambulance Transfers Services in the West Midlands.

The critical care ambulance vehicle specification has been developed to deliver a standard critical care ambulance design that can be utilised by all critical care transfer services in England. The aim is to provide a vehicle that can be flexible to meet the critical care patient requirements across all age groups from neonatal, paediatric and adult. The vehicle will be able to accommodate all ages of patients from Neonates, Paediatric Critical Care, Adult Critical Care, ECMO and Bariatric patients.

The aim of the service is to provide a high quality, efficient, timely, responsive specialised critical care ambulance transport service to support the clinical delivery of time critical neonatal care, paediatric critical care and ECMO services.

The indicative procurement timetable can be found below, subject to change:
