Cornwall & Isles of Scilly Integrated Care Board is intending to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process to award a contract for the provision of suicide bereavement and postvention services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The service will provide timely, effective, and appropriate emotional and practical support to adults who are bereaved or affected by suicide, to help the grieving process and support recovery. The service will provide outreach and effective responses to the aftermath of a suicide. The service will provide information of support available for families and friends, enabling choice over what to access, such as individual and group counselling, and when. The provision will also include access to postvention support for staff working in mental health services. We envisage the service to be delivered by both statutory and voluntary providers through a collaborative partnership model.

six.3) Additional information

This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intended approach notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.

The award decision-makers are the Adult Mental Health, Learning Disabilities & Autism Strategic Commissioning Team, Director of Finance, and Head of Commercial Services.
