two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Glass Futures Limited is looking to appoint a suitable supplier to supply, fabricate and install various steelwork packages for their Centre of Excellence in St Helen, North West England. This will include supporting steel work, floors and stairs to facilitate access to the furnace and other equipment.

The contract will be for 1 year (+ optional 1 year extension), and an estimated 22 packages of steelwork will be called off, as and when required. These packages are currently in the final design stage.

We anticipate that the potential total value of this contract will be circa GBP3,000,000 and packages will vary in size, complexity and budget. GFL have currently allocated GBP765k of external funding to partially fund the requirements for Package 1 - Level 0 – 4 Equipment Access and Support.

Tenderers must understand that the there is no guarantee of the volume, nor value, of the business place during the contract term, and additional requirements may be identified, or reduced.
