Re: INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT) SCAFFOLDING FOR HMS VICTORY CONSERVATION

PORTSMOUTH HISTORIC DOCKYARD Issued: 26/08/2020

On 26th August 2020 the National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) published and Invitation to Tender for Scaffolding of HMS Victory Conservation.

In accordance with its right at paragraph 1.16 of the Invitation to Tender (page 16):

‘NMRN reserves the right, without prior notice and in their absolute discretion, to change or terminate the Tendering procedure for the Project at any time before appointment is made’

Applicants are notified that the NMRN has cancelled the procurement process for Scaffolding.

This means that the NMRN will not proceed with the award of any contracts under that process.

The decision to cancel the procurement process in its entirety has been taken as a result of tender analysis with identified a significant potential material change to the cost and scope of the work.

The NMRN will publish further information regarding the scaffolding of HMS Victory for the Conservation Programme as soon as possible.
