Wolverhampton City Council is looking to appoint a contractor(s) to provide a security service which not only offers a competitive price but demonstrates the skills and capabilities to provide a high-quality reliable service.
The requirements are broken down into 6 elements:
Static Security Guards which is broken down into 6 specific elements:
1.1 - Retail Security (Officers for Markets);
1.2 - Static Security For Steel Drive;
1.3 - Static Security For WCC Depots;
1.4 - Security for Wolverhampton Homes:
1.5 - Vehicle Control & Supervision Operatives and
1.6 - Ad-hoc requirements
The estimated expenditure for elements 1.1 to 1.5 is £600,000.00 per annum.
While it is currently unknown what the Council's ad-hoc requirements will be during the contract period, an additional £100,000.00 per annum has been included in the associated advertisements to allow call offs up to this value.

Wolverhampton City Council is looking to appoint a contractor(s) to provide a security service which not only offers a competitive price but demonstrates the skills and capabilities to provide a high-quality reliable service.
The following pages provide a description/specification of the duties required. These details are of the main long-term guarding requirements. However, the Council may also require additional coverage for other sites/events on an ad-hoc basis E.g. buildings which are new or have been occupied and are void or buildings which are being refurbished, Christmas Markets etc.
