Justification for framework term over 4 years
The estimated revised spend for EMPC for this new Contract value now exceeds the Cabinet Office Spend Control Threshold of £20 million for a two-year framework period. This is due to the increase requirements for additional molecules across our member Trusts.
Under Cabinet Office Spend Control requirements, EMPC are required to submit a business case for approval prior to publishing the new tender.
The current contract is due to expire on 30 June 2026. To maintain continuity of patient care and ensure uninterrupted product and service delivery, EMPC will extend the existing agreements with current Awarded Suppliers beyond this date. New Procurement timescales will be communicated to the market as soon as possible.
It is anticipated the new Tender will be published in the summer of 2026 if spend control approval is given.
A UK 06 Contract Award and a UK 07 Contract Details Notice will be published on the Find a Tender portal.
