Palliative Care Services for Cheshire East and Cheshire West commenced on the 1st October 2023 for 18 months to 31st March 2025.

The Palliative Care in Partnership (PCIP) service is a Cheshire-wide collaboration which provides home (domiciliary) care to people in Cheshire who have palliative care needs and who are receiving end of life care. The service supports patients and those important to them in their own home, to ensure that patients care needs are met to maximise quality of life during their final weeks.

The Community Service delivers local, accessible services such as district nursing, therapies, phlebotomy, podiatry, treatment room care.

The Community Services contract for Cheshire East was previously put out for tender and then recommissioned in 2016 on the basis of the 'most capable provider'. There was a 2 year extension option included in the contract which was enacted in 2021 and expired at the end of September 2023

This is a Contract Award Notice and is published under the Public Contract Regulations (PCR) 2015. It is for clinical services which are Light Touch Regime services for the purpose of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015('Regulations') as specified in Schedule 3 of the Regulations.

Accordingly, the contracting authority is only bound by those parts of the Regulations detailed in Chapter 3 Particular Procurement Regimes Section 7. The contracting authority is not voluntarily following any other part of the Regulations.

The contract is being awarded under PCR 2015Section 32. Use of the negotiated procedure without prior publication.
