Losing AE functions for a significant period of time could leave the Trust open to compliance issues and failure to
meet health and safety regulations. Failure to appoint an AE where HTM guidance applies could expose the Trust
to regulatory enforcement, litigation, and reputational risk, because it would indicate a gap in governance for critical
systems.
