two.1.4) Short description

Coroner's Removal Contract for the Inner South London Coroner's Court Consortium (ISLCCC), comprising the London Councils of Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and the Royal Borough of Greenwich, with Southwark Council acting as the lead authority for the administrative areas of the ISLCC.

The areas to be covered by the contract are divided into geographical lot areas as follows:

(i) Lot A : covering the administrative areas of the London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark; and

(ii) Lot B : covering the administrative areas of the London Borough of Lewisham and the Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The contractor is to provide a coroner removals service for the transportation of bodies from the place of death to a nominated public mortuary as instructed by the coroner.

The contractor to provide a coroner removals service for the transportation of bodies from the place of death within the two boroughs to a nominated public mortuary as instructed by the coroner and body tissue removal as instructed.

The contract is for an initial period of three (3) years with the option to extend for any period or periods up to a maximum of two (2) further years.
