further tests and appropriate treatment to reduce their risk and/or any complications

arising from the disease or condition

Contract awarded by NHS England Cumbria and North East. As a result of extreme urgency following COVID-19 pressures, a Single Tender Action has been enacted to provide a Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme to the eligible of population of the North East and Cumbria area, this is for males during their 65th year and, on request, for men over 65. The process is to identify apparently healthy people who may be at increased risk of a disease or condition. They can then be offered information, further tests and appropriate treatment to reduce their risk and/or any complications arising from the disease or condition. The contracting authority intends to undertake a procurement process following the direct award in accordance with the Public Contract Regulations 2015 (as amended) depending upon the outcome of current procurement consultation.
