two.2.4) Description of the procurement
Great Places Housing Group (GPHG) seeks to contract a supplier of Workwear & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for approximately 1,000 staff, and in particular some 250 grounds maintenance & repairs operatives, requiring several thousand items over the course of a year.
Clothing in particular should provide comfort, wearability, features to facilitate the work in hand, durability and resistance to wear & tear and weather, whilst PPE must meet British Standards and provide excellent protection from the diverse hazards encountered at work, and the full range of goods supplied must remain economic for GPHG.
Product ranges proposed will be assessed on both price and quality, including product 'road-testing' by operatives.
Some items will be branded, and GPHG supports sustainable outcomes.
