six.3) Additional information
NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) are preparing to develop a new Dynamic Purchasing System for the Provision of Linen and Laundry, to replace the soon to expire Linen and Laundry Framework Agreement. The current framework agreement has a lotting structure breakdown by region, Lot 1 - Linen & Laundry Services ( further competition), for London, North East, North West, Midlands, East of England, South East and South West.
NHS LPP are looking for input from suppliers to inform their new DPS to ensure it is fit for purpose, so it would be greatly appreciated if you could respond to the following questions.
1. What do you see as the key issues for supply chain resilience in labour, materials and transportation that LPP should address in specifications and documentation?
2.What are the latest innovations in Linen and Laundry that that you feel should be reflected in specifications for these services to add value for contracting authorities?
3. As you may be aware there is a requirement for NHS tenders to include Social Value as a selection criterion from April 22, can you provide details on your Social Value capabilities so that we can include this in the Dynamic Purchasing System .
4. in reflection of the Covid-19 pandemic, are there any suggestions you have to make towards the new DPS?
5. Our current proposed lotting/category structure will be broken down by regions, are there any other categories/lots you would like to see such as clinical/non clinical examples?
6. Based on the previous mini competitions if you have been involved, are there any changes that you would recommend to the standard specification or clauses/contracts that can improve efficiency or cost?
7. What are your views on RFID (electronic tagging of garments)
8. Do you have any additional comments/suggestions for the Linen and Laundry DPS?
Any suppliers interested in bidding for that contract should engage with the procurement of this DPS to ensure they have a chance to do so. Please respond by Friday 1st April 2022 risha.mehta@lpp.nhs.uk. In your response, please provide the response via email or in a word format only.
