2026 01 RA Taxi Hire Services
Description
This is the Procurement for the provision of Taxis Services to the Beneficiaries. The BBC's existing current contract for these services is expiring, and the BBC is looking to re-tender this contract.
The BBC intends to procure a safe, efficient, and sustainable taxi service available when and where our travellers need it, with a digital platform that supports secure, frictionless booking, robust reporting and tax compliance, and effective contract management. We have built our requirement for taxi booking services to include the UK and overseas.
Our strategic pillars for the future of this service are:
Value for money and availability: A cost‑efficient taxi service with 24/7 global coverage for staff, on-air staff/contributors and equipment, delivering confirmed availability when and where the BBC needs it.
Safety, quality and sustainability: A safe, fully compliant service with verified fully licenced drivers and compliant, low‑emission vehicles that meet BBC standards and advance Net Zero goals.
User experience and technology: An enterprise grade, accessible platform with single sign on, real-time tracking and integrations that enable secure, frictionless booking.
Visibility and control: Robust management information and controls providing full oversight of journeys, spend, CO₂ and policy adherence, with automated reporting.
