The proposed issued contract will secure the continued delivery of an existing service. The existing service offers good value for money when benchmarked to other comparable services delivered locally. The existing service has been quality assessed by the Council.
There is clear evidence and justification that this service is good quality, well managed and well utilised and achieves good value for money for the Local Authority.
There is a particular shortage of accommodation across Middlesbrough generally, and there would no alternative location to re-provide this service within the required timeframes. The organisation provides the accommodation and therefore an alternative provider cannot be sourced
