Severn Trent Water (STW) are seeking to assess robust ammonia concentration measurement in various wastewater environments.
STW are looking to identify potential suppliers who have current or emerging technical capabilities in this area, and in various stages of development ranging from:
Concept discovery → Developing concept trials → Final development → Deployed.
The successful solution will need to meet the technical challenges of producing a system or approach with the necessary capabilities at a price point that justifies the business case for a dynamic dissolved oxygen aeration control roll out at a the largest possible number of ASPs.
The supplier needs demonstrate the capability of developing a solution which:
• can deliver accurate and robust data;
• successfully operate in various wastewater environments;
• demonstrate ability to reliably transmit data to local control and SCADA systems; and
• has established whole life costs and can facilitate large scale deployment.

• Demonstrate via a proof of concept trial that the system can be deployed and validate that the installation, operation, maintenance, reliability, and whole life cost of the product is consistent with our operational needs.
• The focus of the proof of concept trial shall be on the end-to-end process including, device operation and data communication that the system provides.
• Tender process for instruments which successfully complete the POC trial.
