Northumbrian Water Group (NWG) would like to appoint a prime supplier (Communication Service Provider), to partner with primary and secondary sub-contractors (Meter Supplier(s)) to deliver an end-to-end 'Meter as a Service' to cover the NWG Smart Metering requirements in our Essex and Suffolk operating regions.

This requirement is for the supply of smart water meters for both domestic and commercial properties with compatible communication devices, a network provision, AMI services and any required Integration and IT services.

This tender relates to the NWG Essex and Suffolk operating areas only. The areas will be split into the following lots and phases:

• Lot 1 - Essex - Phase 1 (a), Phase 2 (b) and Phase 3 (c)

• Lot 2 - Suffolk - Phase 1 (a), Phase 2 (b) and Phase 3 (c)

Applicants are asked to note that this procurement process will be conducted electronically with all documents and communication being managed through the Northumbrian Water eSourcing Spend Management portal called 'Ariba'. Expressions of interest for this tender must be sent to the e-mail address expressions@nwl.co.uk before the deadline date of 10th March 2023 at 4pm. Once expression of interest has been received that contains the details below, applicants will be given access to the Ariba portal within 48 hours from request. This portal will contain all the tender documents associated with this procurement that are available at the time. An email link will also be provided to the email address you provide to access the portal. The deadline for return of the completed PQQ is 15 March 2023 at 4pm. When sending expression of interest, applicants must provide the following information: 1) Full company name 2) Main contact details of the person who will be given access to the Ariba portal - Name, job title, Email address and telephone, and the Lot numbers you will be bidding on. Please note that the Ariba portal only accepts ONE contact.
