two.1.4) Short description

The Department for Education is seeking to engage the market to discuss a dedicated Facilitator role to support multi-agency safeguarding partnerships to implement government reforms to child protection and safeguarding. This role will play a key part in supporting the Department in delivering reforms through engagement at local and national level by working with the other Facilitators and local areas to provide support. This also includes engaging with and supporting the Families First Partnership (FFP) programme to implement reforms to Family Help, multi-agency child protection, family networks and multi-agency safeguarding arrangements nationally.

We are looking for an individual who understands and has experience of working in local government at a senior level, in particular multi-agency safeguarding for children and local safeguarding partnerships. 

We expect the work to be a maximum of 10 days per month.

A market engagement session will take place on the 27th February at 2pm. Please contact James Drew at james.drew@education.gov.uk if interested.

Please note we do not currently know the route to market we will choose. We will use feedback from the session to help inform our position on this. We expect the contract to be around one year in length, with potential extension options.
