two.1.4) Short description
Nexus will shortly be issuing an ITT for the development for a Bus Contracts Monitoring and Payments system. This system will be used to monitor the performance of the approximately 200 bus services operated under contract and paid for by Nexus.
The opportunity is to develop a software solution to consolidate all aspects of bus contract management including the performance of the bus service, financial calculation and management of such contracts. Contract management is currently carried out using a number of stand-alone software packages. The current system is a desk top solution hosted by Nexus, it is intended to replace this system with a web based solution written in a prescribed programming language, C#.
This opportunity is for the supply and installation of a new, single software solution which consolidates all current aspects of contract management. The proposed system should, as a minimum, be fully populated with all current or live bus contracts. Nexus intend that this software will be web based, written in a prescribed programming language, C#, initially hosted by Nexus, transportable, to be possibly moved into the cloud at a later date.
The required system must allow Nexus to manage, monitor the performance of, administer and calculate payments for its contracted bus services. The contracts are awarded by Nexus to bus operators who must also have access to the system in order that they can comply with their contractual obligations.
For further information regarding the tender opportunity Nexus would like to offer a briefing session to interested parties prior to the release of the tender documents. Please contact Tenders@nexus.org.uk for further details.
