two.1.4) Short description
Natural England Environment (NE) are seeking to procure a Framework Agreement for the provision of design and build services for constructed wetland, across the North, South and Central England.
- The Framework Agreement will be split into the following Regional Lots:
Lot 1 –North of England
Lot 2 – South of England
Lot 3 –Central England
Each regional Lot is comprised of a number of catchment areas. The catchment areas are as follows:
Lot 1: Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Northumbria & Yorkshire
Lot 2: Devon, Cornwall, Thames, Wessex, Kent, South London & East Sussex
Lot 3: East & West Midlands, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, East Anglia, Hertfordshire & North London)
The award restrictions per supplier are detailed in the procurement documents.
Work will be allocated using Direct Award only, for all work up to £2,000,000.00.
The duration of the Framework will be three years (36 months) with one optional one-year (12 month) extension (totalling four years or 48 months).
The total estimated value of the Framework based on a four year (48 month) will be £18,000,000.00.

Use of Framework by Others:
This framework is primarily intended to meet the needs of Natural England.
NE may require the successful bidder(s) to provide the works/services on the same terms that are agreed as a result of this tender to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and to its associated bodies including any Agencies and non-departmental public bodies and others (the Defra Group). NE may also require the provision of the works/services to members of the aforementioned Defra Group via NE, rather than directly.
The successful bidder(s) may also be required to provide the services to local planning authorities in England, The Environment Agency and other UK public sector organisations.
