Medway Council recognises that high quality early years provision is key to enabling children to develop well, and to reach their potential. There is a wealth of evidence identifying the importance of the early stages of a child’s life.
The Early Years support, assessment and moderation service will provide a range of support to childcare settings in Medway by ensuring the Council's statutory responsibilities associated with providing information, advice and training to childcare providers is fully met, as well as securing a number of additional support services in relation to Early Years Foundation Stage Assessment and Moderation.
