** THIS ADVERT IS FOR A MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT **
NHS Derby & Derbyshire CCG are seeking to commission a collaborative or lead provider to deliver Mental Health Support Teams (MHST). MHST deliver evidence based interventions, for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing needs, they support senior mental health leads in education settings to work collaboratively supporting a whole-school or whole-college approach to mental health and emotional wellbeing and provide timely advice to staff.
MHST have a key role in liaising with external specialist services so that children and young people can get the right support and remain in education. Each MHST has a Centre of Excellence (CoE) which covers that setting and feeder establishments (colleges are excluded from the feeder element).
MHST are able to serve all educational environments, schools, PRUs, 6th form colleges and Special Needs Schools. In Derby and Derbyshire MHST work within the 'Getting Help' element of the Thrive Model. There are Centres of Excellence which act as the main hub, meaning the MHST work in that setting and feeder establishments.
To date there have been two Waves implemented, waves 2 and 4 providing 6 teams in total. In September 2022 wave 8 will begin (training to commence in January 2023) and in September 2023 there will be a wave 10 meaning by 23/24 there will be a total of 11 teams.
This notice intends to identify suppliers who would like to express an interest in providing these services and to invite all interested parties to attend a Market Engagement Event.
MHST are expected (after the first training year for EHMP) to deliver 8000 whole school approach contacts and 500 direct contacts with CYP per Centre of Excellence per year. Please see Mental Health Support Teams for Children and Young People in Education
