two.1.4) Short description
Tenders are invited on behalf of SWBH for the Provision of Clinical Staff - Ophthalmology. The Trust is looking to appoint a supplier to support the restoration and recovery of Ophthalmology. The objective will be to treat patients within their clinically prioritised timeframe as per guidelines set out by the Royal College of Surgeons and the Provider will treat patients from the Trust's inpatient waiting list by providing staffed theatre sessions delivered from the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre. It is expected that whole day sessions will be run over weekends on both Saturdays and Sundays. On a Saturday there will be two theatres operational, one of which will deliver cataract surgery. On a Sunday there will be one theatre operational. Other days/evenings may be agreed.
The contract will be for an initial period of 1 year with the option to extend for a further two years.
