Section four. Procedure

four.1) Description

four.1.1) Type of procedure

Negotiated without a prior call for competition

  • The products involved are manufactured purely for the purpose of research, experiment, study or development

Explanation:

Following production 100GBq 18F Fluoride is required. This isotope has a half-life of 109 minutes; therefore, this will restrict the geographical region of supply and the transport time from production to delivery and use within the University. We require the 18F Fluoride to be delivered to the University within 3 hours to ensure there is enough activity available after further processing. Only one supplier has been identified capable of meeting the requirements for 100GBq 18F Fluoride and the capability to deliver within the required timescale.
