Cardiff and Vale University Health Board are exploring options within the market for an All Wales live electronic patient monitoring system. The current system has been used for multiple years this Pin invites suppliers to express interest. If no suppliers express an interest the contract will be awarded to the current supplier. Estimated Value is per annum.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Provision of an electronic patient record system to record information about a range of patients with different diseases linked to clinical services and research together with diagnostic and outcome information.

Record patient encounters, both face to face and virtual, that are not currently captured on PMS (e.g. when patients telephone into the department asking for advice, referrals received) – to include outcomes, durations and individuals involved.

Generate proformas for various clinics so that patient entries can be made efficiently and admin time minimised. These proformas to be easily converted into letter format to send to GP, referrers, patient etc.

The system needs to be accessible from any welsh NHS computer. Information needs to be shared between professionals of teams in different hospital sites and the system needs to include an internal messaging system and ability to set actions.

three.2.2) Contract performance conditions

The IT system has been identified as a Black restoration priority, meaning that it can be restored progressively after 5 working days. In the meantime, patient information will be recorded via letter or transcription directly into the patient notes.

System functionality must be restored within three working weeks.

The contractor will report to the Neurosciences Directorate Management Team.

Participation in ad hoc review meetings essential, to discuss ongoing needs of the service, additions/amendments to the system required and customer satisfaction.

- There should be no hardware associated with this contract to deliver.

Contract value to not exceed GBP 1035 per month.
