two.1.4) Short description

TfWM (Transport for West Midlands) part of the WMCA (West Midlands Combined Authority) has 51 automatic doors across its bus station and Park & Ride estate that are currently non-compliant to the latest standard of BSEN16005 and hence need to be replaced. Therefore this tender is to appoint a suitable contractor to supply and install the new doors required.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

The 51 auto doors required are made up of 42 sliding doors and 9 Aluminium framed pivoting protection screens.

The sliding doors will require a new sliding door operator complete with new control gear, floor guides, carriage assemblies & monitored combination threshold sensors - reusing all pocket, screens, door leaves and framework. All doors will need to be commissioned, tested for conformity to BS EN16005 and left in working order. Work areas must be left clean and tidy and ready for usage upon completion, and any signing/guarding removed.

This tender is being evaluated on the basis of 50/50 quality/price and the closing date for submissions is 1200 noon on Monday 12th April 2021 and if you have any clarification questions the deadline for submitting them is 1200 noon on Wednesday 7th April 2021.
