This Supported Living for Learning Disabilities Project will involve the restricted (2 stage) procurement of an Approved Provider List (APL) for the provision of Care Quality Commission (CQC) Regulated and Non-CQC Regulated Adult Supported Living Placements for Luton residents who have an assessed need as defined by the Care Act 2014 specifically, eligible adults who have a learning disability and /or autism and those who exhibit behaviours which challenge or a combination of these. Eligible adults will be those whose needs are assessed as best met through Supported Living and it will therefore be a requirement of the service specification that the service provider can deliver support to people with a wide range of presentations.
The aim of this project is to secure a robust list of providers; skilled to deliver high quality, personalised care and flexibility, supporting individuals to develop their social, emotional, communication and independent living skills. Provision must be delivered within the borough of Luton and have a local office within 20 miles of Luton Town Hall due to the need for quality inspections.
Lot 1 – Community Support
• A few hours of support per week to develop/maintain independence.
• Focused on connecting and enabling and most aspirational in terms of enablement.
• Similar to homecare, delivered as an outreach model to help people live independently in their own homes. Providers encouraged to develop this service from existing hubs/schemes if appropriate; or as an extension of their homecare business.
