The service will be provided to people who are experiencing issues with their drug and/or alcohol use and who are resident within RBK (residential detoxification will be provided to individuals with a substance misuse problem, who have a Kingston GP) We wish to commission services which provide one or combination of below :
Detoxification with 24-hour medical cover; medically assisted withdrawal from opiates or alcohol;
Detoxification without 24 - hour medical cover; without medically assisted withdrawal
Detoxification (with/without 24-hour medical cover) with a primary rehabilitative programme focusing on intensive therapeutic interventions.
Primary rehabilitative programme focusing on therapeutic interventions.
Secondary rehabilitative programme focusing on the development of life skills, recovery through training or employment-focused needs; the skills to sustain a drug/alcohol-free lifestyle.
Complex e.g. women who are pregnant, dual diagnosis (change dual diagnosis to co-occurring mental health alcohol and drug issues)

The Royal borough of Kingston (RBK) is seeking providers interested in delivering residential detoxification and rehabilitation services (Tier 4) for Kingston residents requiring this service.
We are looking for providers with a strong track record in delivering residential detoxification and rehabilitation services for clients with drug and alcohol misuse with the ability to provide a supportive and recovery orientated environment. These services are in scope of the new NHS PSR (Provider Selection Regime) regulations. (Most Suitable Provider process)
The authority submits this notice of intention to follow this process and identifies potential providers, assesses them based on key criteria, and selects the most suitable provider. following the standstill period, the contract is awarded and a notice of the award will be published

This is a Notice of intention to follow the Most Suitable Provider Process. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award.
The award decision will be made by the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The intention is to award a contract using the most suitable provider process.
