two.1.4) Short description

The School of Music and Humanities at the University of Huddersfield are proposing to commence provision of a new course in Film and Television production, starting in September 2021. The School plan to convert an existing property on our estate into new Film studio facilities with attached conferencing facilities. The studio facility shall offer configurable use of space, i.e the use of the full studio, or divided into half or thirds with individual control functionality. Any proposed lighting control solutions will be required to facilitate and support the division of the studio space into two or three individual operational spaces. The aim of the tender is to procure a production lighting solution that supports HD, UHD and virtual production environments with high quality, consistent and calibrated lighting output and meets the demands of modern CMOS and FPGA technologies.

The scope of works of Lot A includes the design, supply and installation of:• (Section A1) Studio Lighting System including LED and conventional fixtures, control equipment, network equipment and distribution• (Section A2) Suspension system including curtain rail system for separation of production spaces• (Section A3) Electrical distribution including termination to mains supply from Estates team• (Section A4) Removal of waste associated with these worksThe tenderer must submit a visualisation demonstrating the resulting quality of light their proposed solution will deliver for the Green Screen area defined in Package B.A final suite of As-Built drawings must be issued upon completion of the project.Note: Intended power to be made available to the studio is 160A TP&N with max load of 138A 100kVA.
