Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor:
a. HML has unique knowledge of the individual cases that will be in scope for the SMA McCloud Work.
b. HML has extensive existing knowledge of the various pension scheme rules and CO contacts.
c. The time and resources required to replicate this knowledge in another provider so that they were able to carry out the SMA McCloud Work would significantly delay the delivery of the work.
d. Such delays are undesirable given the sensitive nature of ill health retirement cases, and the vulnerability of the members involved.
