Kent County Council is undertaking a procurement of Older People Residential and Nursing Care Service for residents living within the geographical boundary of Kent County Council, who have a residential care and / or nursing care need. The service will be procured as an Open Framework using the Light Touch Regime provisions of the Procurement Act 2023.

two.2.4) Description of the procurement

Kent County Council is undertaking a procurement of Older People Residential and Nursing Care Service for residents living within the geographical boundary of Kent County Council, who have a residential care and / or nursing care need. The service will be procured as an Open Framework using the Light Touch Regime provisions of the Procurement Act 2023.

The Council intents to engage with Service Providers to give the market an opportunity to inform the development of the service specification and for the Council to receive feedback on its commissioning intentions, as well as gauge the level of interest in the market, for this opportunity. The market engagement is also intended to raise Service Providers awareness about the implications of the change in procurement regulations, in order to ensure that Service Providers are prepared to tender for this opportunity.

The Market Engagement, which will be in person, will take place on on Wednesday 5th March 2025 from 9.30 AM to 4PM. Service Providers who may wish to attend the event, may express their interest in the event, by booking a place, using the link below.
