LPS uses Oracle software to underpin the OSNI mapping systems and the Data Spine project. LPS require a support and maintenance contract to Oracle to enable the software to have security patches applied, and updates to the software as older versions go out of support over the next three years.

Explanation:

This is a Direct Award Contract justified under regulation 32 B ii due to absence of competition for technical reasons as the support and maintenance can only be purchased from Oracle and this is the only vehicle to avail of the CCS MOU.
